MRR Energy Services are a non-affiliated, truly independent, extra high voltage switchgear service provider who have established a niche reputation for outstanding attention to detail. We have been working in the UK power utilities sector since our formation in 2012.
We offer a specialist service from design and installation through to maintenance, life extending refurbishment, emergency support, failure investigations, engineering, health & safety and project planning consultancy for all types of switchgear equipment and associated P&C from 33kV to 420kV, but especially open terminal equipment designs.
We have an extended client base covering all regions within the mainland UK and we are not tied to one manufacture so we will always give you a full unbiased opinion on what is required.
We are just as happy delivering new installations as we are maintaining or refurbishing existing installations. And of course, we are always on hand to help in an emergency.

David Wright
Managing Director
David has 21 years’ experience in the electricity supply industry, over a decade of which holding senior management positions. He has led multi-disciplined teams in the successful, safe delivery of extra high voltage projects varying in size, value and complexity.
His enviable portfolio ensures that MRR Energy Services are perfectly positioned to be your partner of choice for any switchgear project. David holds full memberships with both the Institution of Engineering & Technology and the Association for Project Management.
John Pettinger
Head of Engineering
John boasts 45 years’ experience working for the National Grid, with unparalleled knowledge of switchgear installations. John led the extra high voltage switchgear team at the National Grid, resolving many problematic equipment issues and leading investigations into multiple large catastrophic equipment failures.
John is a Chartered Engineer and a member of both the Institution of Engineering & Technology and the Institute of Asset Management.
